Hello and welcome to my shiny brand new blog! September is bringing about an exciting new start for me: the start of four and a half years in post secondary education. As an avid journal writer and amateur photographer I figured it’s about time to share my recordings with others. Since my year is going to be full of new experiences and adventures, both social and academic, a blog is the perfect way to capture it all.
So, for a proper introduction: my name is Sierra Duffey, I reside in the city of Ottawa and will be attending my first year at the University of Ottawa this fall. My aim is to earn a Bachelor’s degree for Public Relations which is in the Faculty of Arts (Communication). This is a joint program with the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College which is also in the city. The majority of my high school friends are attending one of these two schools or Carleton University, so I am sure I will have several experiences with all three.
In terms of my personal life, I drive around everywhere, read too often and photograph everything. I am a student by day, cashier by evening, and a dreamer by night.
In the months to come I am only hoping to reach a few fellow students like me and provide advice for future applicants. Best of luck to you all and enjoy the summer before your academic life 🙂
